Mission

The Children of Mary provides the Catholic Community in the Washington, D. C. and Northern Virginia area with in-home childcare; babysitters, baby nurses, mother’s helpers, homework helpers and nannies. Dedicated to Mary Immaculate The Children of Mary is made up of committed Catholic women who share your faith, values and beliefs to care for your children.

Time will be devoted to teaching the children simple everyday prayers and manners in addition to the standard babysitting and nanny duties. Parents and children can select from our library of Catholic books, movies and music to teach children about the Mass, the saints, catechism, devotions, traditions, customs and music.

A visit to a church or playtime with other children and members of The Children of Mary will provide a supportive faith based network for families. Parents can easily schedule a nanny, leaving instructions in their absense and prepay online

Founded in 2008 (9) The Children of Mary by an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary whose apostolate was home visitation and a children’s pray date prayer grou p. The Children of Mary is non-profit.
